My I-Pad was in need of a new outfit, and just in time for the Week 16 project, ”I-Love-My-iPad Quilted Cover”. The Zakka Along 2.0 group, hosted by Debbie at A Quilter’s Table has been sewing through Ayumi’s book “Patchwork Please” one project a week. Projects from the group can be seen on the Flickr page. Svetlana at S.O.T.A.K Handmade is sharing her adorable I-Pad cover this week.
The fabric on the cover is called “Lush Uptown” by Erin Michael. This fabric brings back funny memories for me, because I remember purchasing a few paint by number kits when I was young, but I never finished one.!! Painting didn’t turn out to be my thing. I very much prefer sewing!
I had fun sewing this project and it went together pretty easily until I got to assembly direction-number 11, which had to do with constructing the pocket. If anyone else was able to read that direction and understand it-YOU-you deserve any and all prizes awarded for this week!!! I found myself laughing hysterically on my third read, and thankful that no-one was home except the dogs! I ended up looking at the pictures and constructing the pocket the best I could!
*Laurie from the group just let me know that there is help for direction 11 in a Flickr post. Here.
